They include a very full, detailed informal account of her field work among the Bemba in Zambia in the early thirties and rather less intensive but still informative letters from her periods in South Africa and at Makerere. Although most of the letters were written from Africa, they include interesting information about the world of social anthropology, in particular about Malinowski. |
