Description | Silent footage of wartime London and the Blitz, including bomb damage to the Heinz Harlesden factory. Also features a plaque issued by the Ministry of Aircraft Production honouring the gift of four Spitfire fighters provided by Howard Heinz to the RAF in 1940. The fighters are seen taking off and flying. Later footage shows production of self-heating cans and soldiers using them [possibly during the D-Day landings]. |
